The Wellington Group has been engaged to find an experienced Colloidal Production Manager to help oversee and manage 24/7 production of medical grade products. Must be a roll up your sleeves and jump in person to learn a new company, technology, people and make assessments to enhance, improve and propel the company?s manufacturing operations. Ideal candidate has a Material Science or Manufacturing Engineer background and understands the science behind the products. Colloidal Production Manager Position Requirements:? Manage the daily activities for slip cast production? Develop production project plans, determining staffing levels and skill mix needed? Ensure labor costs and quality levels meet or exceed standards? Set daily and weekly priorities with departmental production supervisors? Ensure adequate upkeep of equipment in coordination with the maintenance staff? Coordinate with the quality control team to identify and eliminate quality issues? Interact with entire staff on trouble-shooting activities and process improvements? Ensure a safe work environment by following set procedures and correcting identified safety issuesThe qualified Colloidal Production Manager candidate will have:? BS or MS in Material Science or Engineering? 4+ years of experience with full scale production management, experience with slip cast production is ideal? Experience managing Production Supervisors and multi-shift Production Associates? Able to talk technology with R&D, Production, Sales and Company Management? Must have experience with BOM, SOPs, Scheduling, Inventory, Labor Costs and Waste Reduction ? ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 plus GMP experience preferred? Results oriented, ?can do? professional with a passion for leading production ? Able to work within a cross functional team and company environment?
